construction process

1. CONCEPT

Pipeline Pools creates a custom pool design with each client. From there, plans are engineered and submitted for permitting. Every step of construction is required to pass inspection prior to moving forward.

2. LAYOUT AND EXCAVATION

Upon permit  approval, the layout is marked per blue prints. Heavy machinery, such as bobcats and backhoes perform the excavation. Dump trucks will haul away any extra dirt that won't be needed during the backfill stage.

3. FORM & STEEL

Once the excavation is complete, the shell of the pool is formed . Lumber is installed to support the steel/rebar grid that will be put in place. The first steps of the plumbing process also begin during this stage.

4. GUNITE INSTALLATION

The gunite is sprayed with a high velocity pump into the steel cage and creates the permanent pool structure. Steps, sun shelves, swim outs, and hot tubs are all molded during the gunite process.

5. PLUMBING & BACKFILL

Plumbing is installed and run to the area housing the pool pump, filter, heater, and accessories. Fill is then moved back and compacted around the pool to level the surrounding area to grade. Engineers test the backfill for soil density to ensure proper compaction for the deck installation.

6. TILE & DECKING

Decorative waterline tiles and coping  are installed after waterproofing agents are in place. The geotechnical approved soil and compaction  is now ready for the decking  to be poured or laid.  The equipment pad will be poured the same day.  Once equipment is installed by our electrician, valve pressures will get inspected.

7. SAFETY FEATURES & GEM COAT

All safety features, enclosures, and barriers are installed to code. A few examples are screen enclosures, barrier fencing,  additional child safety fencing, and pool/window alarms.   Applying  the gem coat, also known as the pools interior finish  is one of the last steps in the construction process. After the gem coat has been applied, the interior is given an acid wash.

8.COMPLETION

Your pool is ready to be filled with water.  Pool chemicals are balanced and equipment operation/instruction is explained to the home owner and turned over. Homeowners have the ability to control most pool functions with their smart phones.
